Overview
During my time with aKDPhi, I led digital storytelling that reflected our chapter’s values and identity. I managed social media strategy, crafted PR campaigns, and designed visuals that celebrated sisterhood, cultural heritage, and community causes. My work combined copywriting, design, and strategy to keep our chapter’s voice consistent while building engagement across our community.
Social Media & PR Strategy
Strengthened our chapter’s digital presence across two terms by managing Instagram strategy, content, and PR messaging.

Built and maintained a content calendar aligned with chapter milestones

Designed custom graphics for events, reveals, philanthropy, and heritage months

Wrote captions and messaging that reflected our chapter’s values

Monitored analytics to optimize posting times and content mix
Result: Accounts Reached grew from 1,801 → 2,434 (+63%) and Accounts Engaged from 167 → 259 (+55%).

New Member Education Leadership
Led the Spring 2024 intake process, mentoring new members into chapter life while fostering inclusivity.

Result: Successfully onboarded a close-knit new member class, strengthening chapter integration and creating a repeatable framework for future semesters.
Reflection
My work with aKDPhi grew my skills in digital storytelling, campaign strategy, and community leadership. I learned how to translate cultural values into engaging visuals and copy, how to balance creativity with consistency, and how to mentor others through shared purpose. These experiences showed me the impact of storytelling in fostering connection — a skill I carry into every brand I work with today.
